Hello and Thanks for Stopping By!
I’m a Certified Image Consultant and My Passion is Helping People Reflect Their Best Selves
I spent about 11 years in the “corporate America” setting and over time began to notice, sadly enough, that women are in need of some major help when it comes to their wardrobe choices. I’ve sat in countless meetings, gone through various presentations where I’ve thought to myself, “What IS she wearing??” She would’ve been taken so much more seriously if her style matched her confidence. Untailored blazers and ill-fitting dress pants send a certain message to a room full of colleagues…is it the message you want to be sending?
I’m a believer that each and every one of us was created with a different body type, unique features and distinctive specifications – so why do we all think we can dress the same way? We can’t! We each have our own, particular message to convey to the world that we live in. Perhaps yours is working mom, or stay at home mom, starting professional or senior socialite. Does your appearance, behavior and way of communication convey the image that you want it to? If not, I can help! To learn more please click here.
What I’m Prepared to Do
No matter what stage of life you are in, what juncture in time you find yourself a part of, I can help you look your very best and send that message of self-confidence to all those in your sphere. The key is to dress for YOUR body type – not for the unrealistic body of an airbrushed model on the cover of a magazine. I’m a certified image consultant and we can identify your proper body shape through a professional body shape analysis. After that, we can then look for pieces that work FOR your body and not against it. It’s not about your weight, it’s about your shape! You can look fabulous at any weight if you know what shape you are and dress for it. It’s that simple. Are you ready to get started?
I have been labeled “The Mod Girl” and graciously accept the title as I talk with young ladies of all ages about the importance and relevance of modesty in our culture. In this day and age, our girls are being bombarded by tv, movies, the music industry and the media with objectified females who are (knowingly or unknowingly) promoting the sexualization of women in this country. Is that what we want for this generation of young ladies? The idea that they can only get that promotion, that great job or that fabulous guy by using their “sex appeal”? Have we become so numb to hyper-sexualized female cartoon characters and advice offered by pre-teen magazines that we don’t even see the attack that is being launched against our girls? Their value as young women is being compromised and I for one, cannot sit back idly and watch. There is also a misperception that young women have to “bare it all” to be viewed as sexy or attractive to men. It is my goal, through dynamic lectures and interactive presentations, to debunk those mindsets and prove that modest is totally “MOD”. We demonstrate this fact through fun fashion shows and lively, energetic group discussions.
The lectures and discussions feature such topics as: how to stay modest in a modern world, being trendy not trashy, finding Grace Kelly in a Kardashian society – just to name a few. In group settings, the young ladies learn to develop confidence and self-esteem while dressing for their body shape with style and class. Through these sessions we stress the importance of their worth, their value as a person – a whole person. As we develop these positive self-images in our girls we are at the same time teaching boys to respect and esteem girls as friends, sisters, and girlfriends, rather than as sexual objects. As I partner with parents through this nurturing process I believe that we can promote a generation of strong, confident young ladies who know who they are, know how to dress and are not ashamed of it.
